Groove Artist Development Programme

Let's GROOVE!

Groove (formerly Horizons) is an artist development programme for aspiring musicians and dancers. Wherever you are in your creative journey, and wherever you want to go, Groove is a place to come together, be creative, feel inspired, and express yourself.

As a Groove artist, you decide what you would like to do - create new work, build confidence, perform on stage, lead a workshop, record an album, present a radio show, collaborate with others - wherever you want to go, we'll help you get there!

Groove Offers:

  • One-to-one creative mentoring with an experienced Paragon practitioner, paired to suit you creative ambitions.
  • Access to group music and dance workshops designed to build your confidence and connect you with other emerging artists
  • The chance to be part of a group of emerging artists who meet regularly to connect, collaborate, and share ideas.
  • Performance and recording opportunities to get your work out there to audiences.
  • Support and guidance to access funding, development opportunities, and collaborations with artists organisations to further expand your creative journey.

Who is Groove For?

Groove is for anyone who has faced barriers to accessing the arts in Scotland, looking for a platform for their creativity. You don’t need any prior experience of music, dance or art to join - Groove is open and accessible for anyone aged 16+. If you are under 16, check out our SAMPLE mentoring programme for young people.
