Covid-19 policy

As part of our phased transition back towards in-person sessions we have outlined the following measures and protocols to ensure the safety and confidence of everybody attending.

Please read through if you are planning to either attend or facilitate a Paragon session.

What we’re doing:

  • Risk Assessment: We will conduct a thorough risk assessment of all venue spaces and look to manage the risks accordingly
  • Cleaning: All workshop spaces will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitised before and after sessions
  • Ventilation: Spaces will be well ventilated before, during, and after sessions
  • Check in Scotland: Everyone attending will sign in via the Check in Scotland app on arrival. Those without a smartphone can check in by leaving contact details with Paragon staff
  • Social distancing: Two meter social distancing will be in place during sessions
  • Masks: Unless exempt, masks will be worn during sessions
  • Hand Sanitiser will be provided at venues
  • Lateral Flow Test: Everyone attending or facilitating a Paragon session is asked to provide proof of a negative lateral flow test.

What to do before attending or facilitating:

Lateral Flow Tests

  • If you would like to attend an in-person session we ask that you (and anyone accompanying you during the session) provide proof of a negative lateral flow test from less than 24 hours beforehand. You can request a free pack of seven test kits here. There is a helpful NHS guide on how to take one, here, and a subtitled video explainer, here.
  • You can ‘report’ the test via the NHS guidance page, after which you will receive a text message or email confirming that you have done so. We ask that you either forward this on to us prior to attending, or present it on arrival at the venue.

Know your Symptoms:

If you, or anyone in your household, has displayed any of the following symptoms within two weeks of a session please do not attend:

  • Temperature above 38.7°C
  • Sore Throat
  • Headache
  • Dry, persistent Cough
  • Loss of tase or smell

Notes for practitioners:

If you are facilitating a Paragon session we will provide you with a health and safety pack, including:

  • Paragon tote bag
  • Printed and laminated safety checklist
  • Printed sign in sheet
  • FFP3 face masks
  • Hand sanitiser
  • Disinfectant wipes
  • Disinfectant spray and a cloth

We will review and update this policy, as appropriate, in the coming months in line with government guidelines and best practice within the sector.
