Paragon teamed up with our friends at Indepen-dance to deliver a vibrant Inclusive Dance Training Workshop, suitable for all existing and aspiring arts practitioners - Thursday 27 November, 9am-3:30pm at the Pearce Institute, Govan.

About the Workshop

Step into a welcoming, high-energy dance workshop exploring inclusive practice with artists Eilidh McGrath and Jade Adamson — a duo of disabled and non-disabled dancers.

Together, we’ll move, experiment, and share ideas, using Universal Design as a springboard for creating dance spaces where everyone belongs. Through playful exercises and thought-provoking discussion, we’ll reimagine how dance can hold difference, while diving into big questions about disability rights and the language we use in the arts.

About the Workshop Leaders
Eilidh McGrath - is a dancer and choreographer exploring the art form through a lens of queerness and disability - developing themes around closeness, distance, and identity. Eilidh has overcome many barriers to participation in the arts, living as she does with Cerebral Palsy.

Jade Adamson - is a performer, choreographer, movement director, and facilitator. This year marks Jade’s 20th as a freelance dance artist. Although her career has taken her down several different paths, her goals have always been rooted in getting more people involved in dance and sharing that passion. This has enabled Jade to develop an ever-evolving practice focused on breaking down access barriers and continually learning how to do that better.
