Creative Movement & Music with Jade & Shoko Fun, inclusive workshops of creative music and movement for tiny dancers and their grown ups! Paragon dancers Jade and Shoko will lead two sessions: the first for toddlers and parents, the second for primary age children - focusing on expression and creativity through movement. 10:30 - 11:30am Musical Movement Play by Jade Adamson (for toddlers and their grown ups). 11:30am - 12pm Social gathering for all. Drinks and snacks provided. 12pm - 1pm Creative Movement by Shoko Alae-Carew (for primary age children. Everyone is welcome to the half-hour social gathering between the workshops to hear from Jade and Shoko and learn more about Paragon.Musical Movement Play: Through movement play, we will explore our many different feelings and connect music and colour to our emotions. The aim will be for the children and grown ups to take part together, inspiring each other to find their own playful journey through the body. The class will be led by dancer Jade Adamson. Everyone in the room will be welcome to participate at their own comfort level and interpret Jade’s ideas either by copying or in their own way entirely. Creative Movement is a dance class that enhances children's creativity through their own bodies. Children will be encouraged to create new movement vocabulary by exploring, challenging, discovering, and respecting their own and other people’s movement throughout the class. Shoko Alae-Carew will facilitate this class to explore the new movement vocabulary together.
